We are so proud of our cultural inner life and all the associations and running thoughts that are popping up at every instant by a word or an image, a melody or a smell. Even when we meet up with situations where there is no stimulation of the senses, the brain will automatically start to produce images that will procure the necessary entertainment for our hungry minds, stories and symbols that can enrich our dreams and construct illusions to feed on.
